Clare is a Certified Public Accountant, and has been preparing individual and small business taxes professionally for over fifteen years. 

Prior to that, she had a twenty year career in banking and regulation, as a National Bank Examiner for the U.S. Treasury Department, a bank consultant and as an employee of several commercial banks.  She enjoys working with numbers and the intricacies of the tax code and regulations, but mostly loves making her clients’ financial lives simpler and more satisfying. 

Clare worked happily for seven years for a local tax preparation firm, but went out on her own when that company was sold to a large national firm, knowing she couldn’t continue with her very personalized service in that environment. 

She is presently studying for a certification in financial counseling and planning in order to provide her clients with assistance in a broader range of issues.
